Job Summary

An Outstanding secondary school in Warwickshire is looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to join its professional support team from September 2026.

This is a varied role covering the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations staff wellbeing and HR compliance. Youll work closely with senior leaders and line managers providing practical HR support while helping to maintain effective processes across the school.

The role would suit an experienced HR Manager HR Advisor or Senior HR Officer looking to take the next step within education.

The Role

Youll have responsibility across a broad range of HR activity including:

  • Managing recruitment and onboarding processes

  • Overseeing safer recruitment and pre-employment checks

  • Maintaining accurate employee records and the Single Central Record

  • Advising managers on HR policies and procedures

  • Supporting absence performance and employee relations matters

  • Liaising with payroll regarding starters leavers and contractual changes

  • Preparing HR reports and workforce information

  • Supporting staff wellbeing and employee engagement

  • Maintaining HR policies and documentation

  • Ensuring HR processes remain compliant with current legislation

About You

Were looking for an experienced HR professional with a good understanding of UK employment practices and the confidence to work with staff at all levels.

Previous experience within a school academy or MAT would be beneficial particularly knowledge of safer recruitment and the Single Central Record. However strong HR professionals from other sectors with relevant transferable experience are encouraged to apply.

Youll be organised approachable and able to handle sensitive situations with discretion. Excellent communication skills and sound judgement are essential.
