Job Summary

A highly regarded secondary school in Camden is looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to join its leadership support team on a full-time permanent basis from 2nd November 2026.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious HR professional to make a real impact within a successful school that places its people at the heart of everything it does. Working closely with the Headteacher Senior Leadership Team and School Business Manager youll lead all aspects of Human Resources helping to attract develop and retain exceptional staff while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

The Role

As HR Manager youll oversee the schools HR function ensuring all people processes are delivered efficiently professionally and in line with current employment legislation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading recruitment campaigns and overseeing safer recruitment processes

  • Providing expert advice on employee relations performance management and absence management

  • Managing disciplinary grievance and capability procedures where required

  • Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures

  • Overseeing contracts personnel records and HR compliance

  • Producing workforce reports and supporting strategic staffing decisions

  • Working with leaders to improve staff wellbeing engagement and retention

  • Managing HR systems and ensuring GDPR compliance across employee records

The Successful Candidate

Applications are welcomed from experienced HR Managers HR Business Partners Senior HR Advisors or experienced HR professionals looking to progress into a strategic leadership position within education.

Youll have a strong understanding of employment law excellent communication and organisational skills and experience managing complex HR casework. Youll enjoy building positive relationships and supporting leaders to make informed people decisions.
