This role isa great opportunityfor someoneseekingto start their career in HR with opportunities to learn the basics and get involved in a variety of HR activities.You will need to be prepared to get stuck in and work in a fun but fast paced and high-performance environment.As a small business there are times when we allhave topitch in where necessary to get the job done but you will find our friendly team to be collaborative committed to deliveringfor the business and always happy to help each other out.We are confident that we will be able to offer an apprentice a great introduction to the various HR disciplines with plenty of opportunities to learn.
The successful candidatewill complete the HR Support Level 3Apprenticeshipwhich is on average an18-month apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilitieswill be split between two HR specialisms.Initially we envisage this split will be 60% recruitment and 40% HR operations but thiswillchange throughout the year depending on HR activities and deliverables.
Recruitment
Support with recruitment activities includingcandidate attractionand marketing of vacanciescandidatemanagementand communicationsand with the interview andassessmentprocess
Supporting early careers recruitment including internshipsgraduatesand apprentices
Support with the design and management of work experience activities
Monitoring and updating ofour applicant tracking systemto ensure effective andtimelycandidate management and communications
HR Operations
Support the HR Operations Team withHRadministrativeactivitiesincludingreferencechecking and requestson-boardingproduction of employment related letters andmonitoring of key employment dates and milestoneshighlighting with the HR Business Partner teamasappropriate.
Liaise withnew joiners and current employees to ensure an efficient and customer focussedsolution to queries and requests
Production of relevant reportsanddata analysisas requested
Provide support for any HR initiatives other HROperationswork andHR projects and improvementsincludingthe useof AI to make processes more efficient
Key Requirements
Minimum of five GCSEs(or equivalent)including English and Maths at Grade 4 or aboveandat leasttwo A levels(or equivalent)
Previousexperience in HR is notbut we are looking for candidates who have a real interest inbusiness andHRwith anenthusiasm to develop their HR knowledgeskillsandexpertise
A customer service attitude comfortable dealing withcandidates externalstakeholdersand those from all levels across our business
Strong attention to detailand able todemonstrateaccuracy and thoroughness
Proactive innovative thinker who is interested insolving problemsandprocess improvement.An interest in AI and HR technology would be beneficial.
Able tomaintainhigh levelsof confidentiality and discretion asappropriate whilst working in an environment of collaboration.
