HR Advisor Man Ops (Part-Time 25 Hours per Week)

Were looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our Manufacturing HR team supporting operational leaders and employees across our manufacturing sites. This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. Youll be a trusted partner to managers helping them navigate everything from employee relations matters and absence management through to workforce planning engagement initiatives and people development.

Working closely with the Head of HR Business Partners for Manufacturing Operations and the wider HR team youll play a key role in ensuring our people practices are delivered consistently fairly and in a way that supports both our employees and operational objectives.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the business and who thrives in an environment where they can genuinely make a difference. Youll spend time coaching managers supporting employee wellbeing analysing people trends and identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience across our manufacturing population.

A significant part of the role will involve supporting managers with employee relations and attendance matters. Youll work closely with Occupational Health advise on long-term absence cases support welfare discussions and help managers build the confidence and capability to lead their teams effectively. Alongside this youll support investigations grievances disciplinaries performance concerns and a broad range of people-related queries ensuring policies are applied consistently and pragmatically.

Youll also have the opportunity to look beyond day-to-day case management. We want someone who enjoys using data and insight to spot trends challenge thinking and recommend improvements. Whether thats creating dashboards preparing reports for senior leaders supporting engagement activity or contributing to wider HR projects youll be encouraged to bring ideas and influence positive change.

Were looking for someone who has previous experience in a HR Generalist HR Advisor or HR Business Partner capacity and who has developed strong employee relations knowledge within a fast-paced operational environment. Youll have a good understanding of UK employment legislation experience supporting managers through a range of complex people matters and the confidence to provide practical balanced advice when it matters most.

Experience within manufacturing engineering or another operationally focused environment would be advantageous as would experience working in a unionised setting. CIPD qualification or working towards one would also be beneficial although were equally interested in the experience judgement and approach you bring.

This position is based primarily at Gaydon with occasional travel to other Aston Martin locations including St Athan and Wellesbourne. A full UK driving licence is therefore required.

The role is offered on a part-time basis with a requirement to work 25 hours per week on-site. Were open to discussing how those hours are worked to suit both the business and the successful candidate. This could be across three full days or spread differently across the week provided the agreed hours are fulfilled and business needs are supported. Flexibility around start and finish times will occasionally be required particularly when supporting meetings projects or activity across multiple sites.
