Job Summary

A welcoming secondary school is looking to appoint an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join its support team on a part-time permanent basis from September 2026.

Working 20 hours per week across five days this is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a busy environment. Youll play a key role in supporting the schools HR function helping to ensure staff receive an efficient and professional service throughout the employee lifecycle.

The Role

Working closely with the HR Manager and wider leadership team youll provide day-to-day administrative support across all areas of Human Resources.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing contracts offer letters and employment documentation

  • Supporting recruitment and safer recruitment processes

  • Maintaining accurate personnel records and HR databases

  • Assisting with onboarding and pre-employment checks

  • Processing contract changes and payroll information

  • Responding to staff HR queries

  • Supporting compliance with employment legislation and safeguarding requirements

  • Providing general administrative support to the HR department

The Successful Candidate

Applications are welcomed from experienced HR Administrators HR Assistants School Administrators Office Administrators or candidates with previous administrative experience looking to develop a career in Human Resources.

Youll be organised discreet and confident managing confidential information with excellent communication and IT skills.
