This is an innovative new service working specifically with the people who use our services with houseing and recovery needs. As a Housing Support Recovery Worker with Inspire Lancashire you will work with clients in structured treatment that are entering or are on a path to enter a housing crisis.

You will actively engage with the people who use our services and the services they need to support improved health wellbeing and social inclusion. Providing wrap around support including practical emotional and social aspects of preventing homelessness and maintaining a tenancy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in a similar field who wants to make a difference in working within a new Housing Floating Support service in Lancashire.

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Utilise effective communication and referral pathways for service users who are at risk of homelessness and in contact with other health and care agencies.
  • Provide wrap around support in emergency/temporary/supported accommodations across East Lancashire.
  • Prioritise caseload depending on crisis intervention and severity of needs.
  • Attend relevant multi-disciplinary team meetings supporting links to health and social care services peer support networks community assets and mutual aid.
  • Work closely with the local authority Health & Social care sector partners and any provision linked to preventing homelessness and improve joint working.

About you:

  • An understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with drug and alcohol use in relation to health social welfare housing employment and personal relationships
  • Experience facilitating successful tenancy sustainment and working to achieve positive community connections
  • Experience of engaging with a wide variety of individuals with a variety of backgrounds and needs
  • The ability to work with and manage challenging behaviour

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
