The Role
At Soho House as a Hotel Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for members and guests delivering an exceptional arrival and departure experience. Your role is key in ensuring a warm welcome smooth check-in and check-out and efficient handling of reservations guest inquiries and front desk operations.

Key duties
- Greet members and guests warmly and professionally on arrival
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently following internal protocols
- Manage bookings cancellations and room allocations using the hotels PMS (Property Management System)
- Answer guest questions and resolve complaints or concerns with empathy and discretion
- Coordinate with housekeeping concierge spa and other departments to ensure a seamless experience
- Process payments accurately and issue invoices or receipts as required
- Handle phone email and in-person inquiries promptly and helpfully
- Keep reception and lobby areas tidy welcoming and well-presented
- Maintain guest confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and club data policies
- Assist with wake-up calls transportation bookings and general concierge duties as needed
What we are looking for...
A successful Hotel Receptionist for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. Youll be reliable friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role ideally in hospitality or luxury environments
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel booking systems (e.g. Opera Protel)
- Reliable organised and well-groomed with a calm professional manner
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and stay solution-focused
Desirable:
- Experience working in a private members club or boutique hotel
- Multilingual abilities
- First Aid or Fire Safety certification
- Knowledge of local attractions transportation options and club amenities
