Spire Dunedin Hospital in Reading are seeking a Host and Catering Assistant to join our warm and friendly team on a permanent full-time basis. Spire Dunedin Hospital has been serving the Reading community for over 100 years as a first-class medical facility. Based in the heart of Reading the hospital has two theatres 16 inpatient beds three recovery bays Oncology services and an Endoscopy Suite.
*Working Hours:Monday Sunday between the hours of 07:00 20:30
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting our Catering team in delivering a high standard of service to patients on the wards including helping with menu choices serving meals and ensuring regular refreshments.
- Assisting our Chefs with basic food preparation stock rotation and maintaining cleanliness in our restaurant and kitchen areas.
- Providing friendly attentive service to patients visitors and colleagues always maintaining a professional and approachable manner.
- Ensuring all food safety hygiene and health & safety standards are met with full compliance at all times.
- Respecting patient confidentiality and contributing to a calm welcoming environment.
Who were looking for:
- Previous experience in catering in a similar environment is essential.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is a minimum requirement.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a busy setting.
- A positive flexible attitude and strong communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service with empathy and professionalism.
