Homologation Engineer

To support the continuing expansion of IDIADA activities in the UK we are seeking a suitable professional to join our UK Homologation team.

This role will be based in Warwickshire United Kingdom and include regular travel to customer sites with occasional overseas travel to support client testing and homologation activities when required.

This position reports to the UK Homologation Manager and is responsible for:

• Carrying out and delivering homologation activities across the existing client base.
• Client-facing customer-focused role working across a wide range of vehicle manufacturers (Categories M N L and O)
• Witness testing at manufacturer locations or testing laboratories for homologation
• Preparation and presentation of test reports.
• Supporting the Senior Homologation Engineers to prepare the required homologation tests and to carry out these tests.
• Keeping updated about all innovations findings news and regulation changes in their field

Qualifications :

• Previous automotive or homologation experience is essential in activities such as:
  • Vehicle emissions testing and Homologation.
  • Passenger car passive & Active Safety.
  • Commercial Vehicle Approval.
  • L-category Vehicle approval.
  • Knowledge of ADAS Cyber Security and Software update systems and GSRII requirements (desirable).
• Knowledgeable in type approval regulations technical and safety requirements.
• Fluent in English. Other languages will be an asset.
• Ability to travel within the EU.

Qualifications

• A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (other relevant engineering disciplines or experience will be considered).
• Practical knowledge of the automotive industry including knowledge of Automotive OEM processes.
• Sales/Engineering/Technical knowledge.
• Commercial costing engineering or programme management knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
