Do you love working with children and creating fun engaging experiences

Were looking for an enthusiastic and caring Playworker / Activity Leader to join our Holiday Club team in Salisbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to spend your summer helping children learn play and make lasting memories through a variety of exciting activities.

From sports and team games to arts & crafts and creative play no two days are the same.

Working Hours

School Holidays Only

Monday to Friday
08:30 17:30

Summer Dates Available

20 July 2 September 2026

There are also opportunities to work during future school holidays throughout the year (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays).

Please note: Applicants must be available for a minimum of three weeks during the summer holidays.

Limited on-site parking available.

About the Role

At Junior Adventures Group were passionate about creating safe exciting and enriching experiences for children.

As a Holiday Club Playworker youll help deliver engaging activities support childrens development through play and create an environment where every child feels included valued and encouraged to thrive.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being active creative and making a positive difference every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver fun engaging and inclusive activities for children
  • Support a variety of sessions including sports games arts & crafts and structured play
  • Create a safe welcoming and positive environment
  • Support children throughout the day including arrivals and collections
  • Follow safeguarding health & safety and company procedures at all times
  • Prepare and provide refreshments while maintaining hygiene standards
  • Assist with setting up and packing away equipment and activity areas
  • Complete accident incident and activity records where required
  • Communicate professionally with children parents schools and colleagues
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage participation

  • Previous experience working with children (desirable)
  • A positive enthusiastic and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable responsible and able to follow procedures
  • The ability to create a fun and safe environment for children
  • Energy creativity and a genuine passion for childcare and playwork

Safeguarding

This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
