Job Summary
Kilnwood Vale Primary are seeking an HLTA to join them on a temporary contract to cover maternity leave.

Working under the direction of the Headteacher the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting childrens learning ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality inclusive education. This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons supporting children with a range of needs and committed to fostering a safe engaging and positive learning environment. As part of GLF Schools youll also benefit from opportunities for professional development and collaboration across a wider network of supportive professionals.
What we are looking for
- Hold relevant qualifications including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and an HLTA qualification.
- Have experience in supporting and delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning
- Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies managing behaviour effectively and supporting pupils emotional and academic development.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills including preparing resources maintaining pupil records and contributing to classroom planning.
- Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities working well with colleagues children and parents.

Start Date: 1st September 2026
Salary: GLF Specialist Point 1 - 27061 FTE Actual Salary: 21663
Contract Type: Temporary (mat cover) Term Time only
Hours: 33.5 Hours per week to be worked 8:30 - 3:30pm (M Tu Th & Fr) and 8:30 - 16:30 on a Wednesday
