An exceptional 11-18 secondary school in Shropshire is seeking a passionate History Teacher to join its well-regarded Humanities faculty. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for a teacher who loves the subject and wants to work within a school that takes pride in delivering a rich thought-provoking history curriculum.

The successful candidate will teach History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (OCR) with the opportunity to teach A-level History depending on experience. The department places a strong emphasis on historical source work debate and essay-writing skills and you will be expected to contribute to the design of curriculum resources that push students to think carefully and critically. The role also includes supporting the schools programme of enrichment visits including trips to key battlefield and heritage sites and contributing to wider Humanities faculty activities such as the annual Year 9 History Day.

Requirements

• Degree in History and QTS

• Strong subject knowledge across KS35; A-level teaching experience desirable

• Confidence delivering source-based and essay-focused teaching approaches

• Enthusiasm for enrichment visits and wider Humanities faculty activities

• Good communication and collaborative skills
