A small independent preparatory school in Shefford is seeking a versatile History and Geography Teacher to join its teaching team ASAP. The successful candidate will deliver engaging humanities lessons and help younger students develop curiosity about the world around them.
Teach History and Geography: Deliver lessons across upper KS2 and KS3.
Develop subject curiosity: Use stories maps artefacts and practical activities to inspire learning.
Plan cross-curricular projects: Link humanities teaching with literacy research and creative work.
Support individual progress: Provide clear feedback and targeted support.
Organise educational visits: Contribute to local history trips and geographical investigations.
Promote independent learning: Encourage students to ask questions and investigate topics.
Humanities specialist: Has strong knowledge of History and Geography.
Qualified teacher: Holds QTS or an equivalent qualification.
Primary or lower-secondary experience: Understands how to engage younger learners.
Creative planner: Uses practical and imaginative activities to support learning.
Strong communicator: Builds positive relationships with pupils and families.
