Are you an experienced people leader with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service

Were looking for a proactive and driven Hire Manager to lead the day to day operation of the Hire Desk within our busy Plant & Tool division. If you thrive in a fast paced environment enjoy developing teams and want to play a key role in driving performance and revenue this could be the next step in your career.

Youll take ownership of hire desk operations leading a team of Hire & Sales Co ordinators and Drivers to deliver safe efficient and customer focused service. Youll balance operational control with commercial focus ensuring high standards of compliance administration and sales performance across the depot.

What Youll Be Doing

Leading and managing the day to day operation of the Hire Desk and Transport function
Allocating prioritising and overseeing workloads for Hire & Sales Co ordinators and Drivers
Recruiting motivating coaching and developing team members to achieve high performance
Ensuring adequate staffing cover including holidays absence and weekend attendance
Driving add on sales performance through proactive promotion of consumables and accessories
Overseeing stock control of consumables and resale items to meet demand
Ensuring accurate processing of on hires off hires exchanges and transport activity
Monitoring delivery and collection performance to meet cust

What Youll Bring

Were looking for a confident leader with strong operational and commercial awareness including:
Proven experience managing a hire desk transport operation or similar customer facing team
Strong people management skills with the ability to coach and develop others
Commercial focus with experience driving revenue and add on sales
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure
Strong communication skills with customers staff and stakeholders at all levels
A solid understanding of Health & Safety within an operational environment
