Hire Depot Supervisor

Traffic Group Signals is seeking a Hire Depot Supervisor to lead and manage their Warrington depot within its fleet hire division. Reporting to the Regional Supervisor the role is responsible for overseeing depot operations managing staff and ensuring a high standard of service safety and equipment quality for hire customers.

You will oversee the full hire lifecycle including equipment preparation testing maintenance repairs stock control and documentation. Acting as the main point of contact for customer hire enquiries you will build strong working relationships and ensure a consistently high level of service. The role involves close collaboration with engineering professional services and commercial teams as well as supporting installations audits and site activity when required.

• Run the day-to-day depot operation managing staff and ensuring compliance with company policies and processes.
• Oversee preparation testing maintenance repair and refurbishment of hire equipment to required quality standards.
• Manage hire equipment from dispatch through to return including deliveries collections battery maintenance call-outs and system documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer hire enquiries maintaining strong customer relationships and professional representation of the business.
• Coordinate with Professional Services Engineering Commercial and Hire teams to ensure effective service delivery and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and manage fleet stock levels depot efficiency and equipment readiness.
• Attend sites when required for installation maintenance audits and inspections ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
• Complete audits reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Support commercial activity including new business development demonstrations and field trials.

• Full UK driving licence (with minimal points).
• Educated to GCSE or A-level standard.
• Comfortable using paperless/digital systems.
• Strong communication organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused and safety-conscious approach.
• Experience in highways maintenance or traffic signal installation desirable.
• Relevant industry training (e.g. Lantra/CSCS) preferred.
• Flexible and willing to work out of hours as required.
