Higher Level Teaching Assistant Outreach
Job Summary
Grade: MNSP Grade 6 SCP 18 21
Responsible to: Senior Leadership Team / MayHill lead.
Hours of Work: Term Time Only plus 5 Inset days - Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Friday 8.00 am to 3.00 pm (36.5 hours per week)
Job Purpose:
To develop and sustain educational continuity and progression in learning experiences and high pupil expectations.
To support mental health and wellbeing with outreach pupils
To plan and lead on the delivery of a range of ASDAN project-based activities through our offsite education provision.
To work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and small group basis in delivering literacy numeracy and PSHE interventions and curriculum work
To promote and encourage good relationships between parents/carers the community and the school.
To keep up to date professionally.
To work as part of a team to ensure that the best opportunities are offered to our pupils.
To undertake other responsibilities in the school as agreed with the Headteacher.
To model and promote good equalities practice and value diversity across the service.
To support with increasing attendance safeguarding needs and engagement from students who need a highly bespoke package of learning.
To support with transporting students to and from school and working with families to support with good school attendance.
To liaise with other ALP providers and support with developing timetables for students in need of outreach.
