Higher Education Account Manager, UK Education
Job Summary
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Promote AWS services in a defined territory or industry vertical.
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
- Facilitate customer adoption.
- Maintain a robust projects pipeline.
- Work with partners to extend reach & promote adoption.
- Contribute to positive customer experience
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
- Experience with pipeline management skills to include utilization of Salesforce or other CRM tools
- 35 years of experience in account management sales or business development within the Higher Education sector
- Demonstrated experience working with universities colleges or further education institutions
- Track record of managing complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles typical of HE procurement
- Ability to navigate long consensus-driven procurement cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Experience developing account plans aligned to institutional strategies (e.g. Teaching Excellence Research Excellence Framework)
- Ability to articulate technology value propositions in the context of academic outcomes
- Understanding of the Higher Education landscape including funding models research priorities and digital transformation drivers
- Familiarity with institutional decision-making structures (e.g. Vice-Chancellors Provosts CIOs Deans Procurement)
- Awareness of sector challenges such as student experience research computing hybrid learning and operational efficiency
