Required Skills:

Essential Requirements Strong Data Analyst experience. Advanced SQL skills. Strong Python experience. Proven experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports. Experience troubleshooting and resolving reporting data and system issues. Experience with Microsoft Fabric. Experience supporting or participating in migrations from on-premise environments to Microsoft Fabric. Strong data analysis and reporting skills. Experience automating reporting processes and reducing manual workloads. Excellent Excel and Microsoft reporting tool knowledge. Ability to work independently and engage with stakeholders at all levels. Key Responsibilities Reporting & Business Intelligence Develop maintain and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards. Support ongoing migration from on-premise data environments to Microsoft Fabric. Ensure reporting systems remain accurate reliable and efficient. Troubleshoot and resolve report dashboard and data issues. Maintain reporting records and performance dashboards. Support managers with performance monitoring and KPI development. Data Analysis & Insight Analyse service performance data and identify trends. Provide insight and intelligence to support operational and strategic decision-making. Produce meaningful reports for senior management. Monitor service performance against key indicators. Support completion of statutory government returns. Analyse rental income and housing benefit recovery performance. Automation & System Development Identify opportunities to automate processes and reduce manual reporting. Work with internal and external stakeholders to enhance data infrastructure. Develop scalable reporting solutions. Improve data quality and reporting efficiency across the service. Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with: ICT & Digital Teams Housing & Homelessness Teams Senior Management Corporate Insight Teams External Partners and System Providers Attend meetings to present findings and performance insights. Provide advice regarding improvements to reporting mechanisms and data processes. Essential Skills & Experience Experience leading data analysis and reporting functions. Experience building automated reporting dashboards using Power BI. Experience using SQL for querying and analysing large datasets. Experience using Python for data analysis and automation. Experience implementing automation solutions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong report writing and communication skills. Experience working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workloads effectively. Desirable Requirements Experience within Housing Homelessness or Local Government services. Awareness of Housing & Homelessness statutory responsibilities. Experience working with Housing Management Systems. Experience supporting organisational change and data transformation projects.
