Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 driver in Spalding.

Key Details & Responsibilities

  • Hours: 45 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday day shifts) Tramping

  • Start Date: Immediate starts available following standard site induction and driving assessment

  • Safe Transport: Rigid curtain-side and box vehicle operations delivering palletised freight

  • Vehicle & Tail-Lift Checks: Conducting mandatory daily pre-trip walk-around safety inspections and testing tail-lift operations

  • Compliance: Ensuring safe load strapping correct use of pump trucks/tail lifts and strict adherence to EU Drivers Hours and digital tachograph rules

  • Documentation: Accurate handling of electronic consignment notes customer signatures and Proof of Delivery (POD) confirmations



Requirements
  • Licence & Cards: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C) licence Driver CPC qualification card and Digital Tachograph card

  • Experience: Minimum 612 months commercial Class 1 driving experience preferred (prior multi-drop or tail-lift experience advantageous)

  • Clean Record: Maximum 6 penalty points (strictly no DR/DD/IN endorsement codes)

  • Professional Standards: High commitment to road safety punctual timed deliveries and a courteous customer-facing attitude
