HGV Class 1 Driver

Were looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Logistics team in Tilbury supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. Youll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Shift patterns available

• 4 on 4 off Shifts (Start times between 15:00 18:00 or 18:00 21:00)
• 5 on 3 off Shifts (Start times between 15:00 18:00 or 18:00 21:00)

Pay rates

Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential with basic salaries ranging between 35499.30 - 44252.37 basic per annum depending on shift pattern plus overtime and shift allowances with the potential to earn up 52680 with OTE.

What youll be doing:

• Carry out safe professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres
• Drivers interested in Night shift will predominately be supporting our trunking operation to Culina Sites
• No Cage work or Tipping
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures including health safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour appearance and customer service at all times.
• Take advantage of night-out runs where available if this is something you are interested in.

Qualifications :

What were looking for

• Valid CE Licence.
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers will be considered if you show the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• No more than 6 points on your licence with no DD or DR code convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
