Asa HealthcareAssistant on the ward at our hospitalyoull show us youre able to meet deadlines and follow have a good telephone manner and great computer and database will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and hold relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

As a Healthcare Assistant on the ward you will:

• Putpatient care first

• Carry out administrative duties

• Supporting a team of Registered Nurses and consultants in the delivery of exceptional patient care pre and post surgery

• Enjoy time to get to know the people who are our patients

• Meet the needs of every individual

• Useyour organisational skills to make a positive impact and experience

Shrewsbury hospital ranked as Good in the last CQC inspection is purpose built and well equipped with 24 en-suite bedrooms 3 operating theatres an endoscopy suite an Ambulatory Care Unit and a busy outpatients department which includes physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging. Our diagnostic provision includes X-ray Ultrasound MRI and CT facilities.

We offer the most up to date surgical treatments combined with a warm welcome and a professional and caring service from our matron-led nursing team. We specialise in the areas of orthopaedics ophthalmology cosmetic surgery and womens health but also undertake general surgery urology and interventions for chronic pain management.
