Job Summary
EALTHCARE ASSISTANTS with MENTAL CARE EXPERIENCE
12-HOURS SHIFT 8am-8pm
Job Types: Full-time Permanent
We are only able to accept applicants who have the right to work in the Uk and live within a commutable distance to the location of the job role and able to work full-time 33-44 hours per week.
The Nursing home is located in Bradford and offers a range of specialist care for residents ranging from Alzeimers and Parkinsons care to care for stroke victims.
Successful applicants will have 1-2 years experience preferably in a similar role.
Salary: 12.82 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide personal care and support to patients including assistance with daily living activities such as eating bathing and dressing.
- Therapeutic Engagement: Engage with patients in therapeutic activities to promote recovery and alleviate distress. This includes identifying factors that may increase agitation and employing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and document patients conditions including any changes in behavior or mood and report these to the nursing staff.
- Supportive Environment: Create a safe and compassionate environment for patients ensuring their dignity and privacy are respected at all times.
- Collaboration: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including nurses psychiatrists and social workers to implement care plans and support patients effectively.
- Crisis Intervention: Recognize signs of distress or crisis in patients and respond appropriately to ensure their safety and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a care roleexperience with dementia brain injury and nursing home is desirable
- Certifications: Holding a Care Certificate or equivalent is typically desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Cheerful compassionate respectful and caring approach and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults and the desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.
- Ability to work on own initiative
