Head of Year & Transition Lead

Merstham Park School is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Head of Year and Transition Lead to play a pivotal nonteaching role at the heart of our pastoral provision.

This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on students at a critical stage in their education guiding them through a smooth and successful transition from primary to secondary school. As the driving force behind the wellbeing progress and daytoday experience of our Year 7 and Year 8 students you will champion a culture where every child is known supported and inspired to thrive academically socially and emotionally within a safe ambitious and inclusive environment.

• Able to work with and champion vulnerable children to achieve positive behaviour outcomes
• Able to promote high standards of behaviour and a good working ethos
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise plan and manage competing demands.

The Details

Start Date: 1st September 2026

Salary: GLF Associate Specialist Point 1 - 27061 to Point(dependent on experience)

Actual Salary: 23877 to 26243 (dependent on experience)

Hours: 36 hours per week 40 weeks per year

Closing Date: 25th June - 9am
