We are now looking for aHead of Strategytoformulate and support Guardian News and Media business strategy. The Head of Strategic Projects will lead priority strategy projects across the organisation and will link them to the broader vision and strategic plan of the Guardian.

About the role

  • Own strategic projects end-to-end working with senior leaders to scope and deliver a broad range of projects - grounded in analysis and strong stakeholder management
  • Act as key strategic advisor to business leaders across GNM supporting the evolution and delivery of the GNM corporate strategy
  • Monitor competitive landscape rapidly changing market environment and key trends providing analysis and insight to senior leaders ensure the Guardian maintains competitive advantage
  • Ensure that the corporate strategy drives key decision making around the business
  • Significant exposure to the senior leadership of the business.

About you

  • Extensive strategy experience either from consultingor an in-house strategy role in a media organisation
  • Experience partnering with a diverse range of business functions and across a wide range of strategic problems
  • A deep understanding of media or publishing
  • Strong strategic toolkit including quantitative and qualitative problem solving
  • Experience managing projects end-to-end

Youll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days. Our pension scheme is generous; if you contribute 5% then we will contribute 8-12% (depending on your age). Guardian News and Media is proud to be a London Living wage employer. The minimum salary for any full-time role within the organisation is 30000 per annum. Salary ranges are dependent on skills and experience.
