Head of Fire Safety Delivery

Location: Remote (UK Based) UK-wide travel as required

Contract: Permanent Full Time

Salary: 90000 per annum plus car allowance laptop and phone

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Head of Fire Safety Delivery to lead the development mobilisation and growth of fire installation and remedial services across Mears. This is a strategic delivery leadership role responsible for creating a consistent and scalable operating model building capability mobilising programmes and supporting the continued growth of fire installation and remedial services across the Group.

You will work closely with operational commercial technical and support teams to identify opportunities strengthen branch and central capability mobilise new programmes and oversee safe commercially sustainable delivery.

The role requires strong leadership commercial discipline and the ability to balance growth ambitions with operational readiness quality standards and risk management.

About the Role:

As Head of Fire Safety Delivery you will provide strategic and operational leadership across fire installation and remedial programmes ensuring safe compliant and commercially sustainable delivery across branches contracts and centrally managed services.

Develop and implement the operating model for fire installation and remedial services across Mears

Assess branch contract and central capability building practical plans to strengthen delivery readiness

Identify develop and convert fire installation and remedial opportunities into deliverable programmes

Lead mobilisation activities ensuring operational readiness before delivery begins

Establish the competency accreditation supervision and quality assurance controls required to deliver fire installation and remedial works safely and consistently

Develop workforce and supply chain capability to support sustainable service growth

Provide leadership and oversight of operational delivery ensuring quality safety and commercial objectives are achieved

Embed quality assurance processes evidence controls reporting and handover standards across the service

Own financial performance including budgeting forecasting revenue margin and cost control

Build effective relationships with clients operational leaders technical teams and delivery partners

Drive continuous improvement across capability mobilisation delivery performance and customer outcomes

Key Criteria:

Relevant qualification or equivalent senior experience within fire installation remedial works construction property services or operational delivery

Strong working knowledge of fire installation and remedial works including passive fire fire doors fire stopping or comparable regulated works

Significant senior operational leadership experience within fire installation remedial works construction property services or a related environment

Proven experience of establishing mobilising and growing an operational service

Experience working across branch regional or multi-contract delivery models

Experience of assessing organisational capability and developing plans to address operational gaps

Experience of converting client demand and pipeline opportunities into scoped priced and deliverable programmes

Strong commercial experience including budgeting forecasting pricing revenue and margin management

Experience managing direct labour teams and specialist subcontractors

Experience working with competency accreditation supervision and assurance requirements associated with fire installation passive fire remedial works or comparable regulated construction activity

Experience of mobilising and delivering multi-site programmes

Experience of developing workforce supervisory and supply chain capability

Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of improving operational quality and commercial performance

Commercially focused and delivery driven

Able to create structure and momentum in a developing service

Credible with branch teams clients delivery partners and senior leaders

Collaborative pragmatic and accountable

Full UK driving licence

Willingness to travel across the UK as required
