Location: South Shields / Hybrid working(typically 2-3 days office working per week)

Contract: Full-time (37 hours) / Permanent

Salary: 100416 per annum plus benefits and relocation assistance(where applicable)

Serving more than 200 active employers Tyne & Wear Pension Fundis one of the most significant Local Government Pension Scheme funds in thecountry. As the fourth largest LGPS Fund in England and Wales we areresponsible for administering pension benefits for around 200000 members andmanaging assets valued in excess of 15 billion.

This is a particularly exciting time to join us. Tyne & WearPension Fund now also delivers pensions administration services for theTeesside Pension Fund through a commercial contract. This creates one of thelargest pension administration operations within the Local Government PensionScheme serving a growing membership and employer base. As we continue to buildon this success this leadership role will play a key part in drivinginnovation continuous improvement and service excellence across theorganisation.

About the role

The Head of Corporate Services is a pivotal leadership role withinTyne & Wear Pension Fund providing strategic oversight of governancecompliance corporate delivery legal services and systems directly to the Assistant Director (Pension Fund) you will lead theCorporate Services Office and play a key role in ensuring the Fund has thegovernance arrangements corporate infrastructure and strategic supportrequired to deliver its ambitious objectives.

You will likely hold a recognised professional qualification in atleast one of pensions law governance policy finance or a relateddiscipline or possess equivalent experience. We are seeking a strategic andcollaborative leader with substantial senior-level experience within pensionslocal government regulatory policy or financial services environments.
