Talentmark is supporting a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical organisation in the search for a Head of Compounding Operations to lead an MHRA-licensed aseptic compounding facility. This will be a permanent on-site role. An excellent opportunity for an experienced GMP and aseptic operations leader to shape the future of a critical pharmaceutical manufacturing function.

This is a key leadership role requiring a proven senior leader with extensive experience in aseptic manufacturing GMP-regulated operations and operational excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance driving performance and supporting a significant site relocation programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aseptic compounding operations within an MHRA-licensed facility.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP MHRA regulations and quality standards.
  • Drive production planning capacity management and operational performance.
  • Lead quality initiatives including validation environmental monitoring CAPA and audit readiness.
  • Manage budgets forecasting and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Develop and inspire high-performing teams through coaching and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Quality Pharmacy Clinical Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Support the successful delivery of a major site relocation project.
Your Background
  • Degree qualified in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
  • Significant senior leadership experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing aseptic processing or sterile production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP aseptic operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience leading large operational teams and driving organisational change.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience managing audits quality systems and operational excellence initiatives.
Desirable:
  • Named Production Manager experience on an MHRA licence.
  • Lean or Six Sigma qualification/exposure.
