We are looking for a Head Housekeeper to lead our team at the luxurious five-star plus Old Parsonage Hotel which is part of The Oxford Collection; a small privately owned group of two luxury 5* hotels and apartments three restaurants that consists of the Old Bank Hotel the Old Parsonage Hotel 36 St Giles Parsonage Grill Gees Restaurant & Bar and Quod Restaurant & Bar. We have 80 bedrooms across three iconic properties in central Oxford with unrivalled views across the citys beautiful skyline.

Our Housekeeping team is key in providing the highest level of cleanliness for our hotel and restaurant guests. You will be keen and hardworking with an interest in hospitality.
Key requirements and responsibilities of the Head Housekeeper:
To maintain the highest standard of housekeeping in the hotel and its public areas Parsonage Grill and Gees restaurants and 36 St Giles apartments
Communicate effectively with reception staff to ensure the smooth and fast turnaround of rooms for re-sale in order to maximise revenue
Reporting and organising all maintenance and repairs required in all hotel rooms and bathrooms and communal areas
Responsible for upholding the companys image and standards acting as an ambassador for the company at all times
To be responsible for all ordering of linen guest supplies and appliances room consumables purchases and housekeeping cleaning products and chemicals.
To deal effectively and tactfully with all guest feedback and report to the General Manager and Managing Director
To be aware of and meet all budgets and targets relating to the housekeeping department
To have the enthusiasm drive and ambition to make the hotel a continued success by constantly reviewing standards and putting forward positive ideas and improvements
Carry out training of new and existing staff ensuring initial and continuing competence in required areas recording training records are maintained.
To ensure all cleaning equipment materials and chemicals are in good working order stored safely and used correctly
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current Health and Safety and Hygiene legislation
Thoroughly understand fire first aid and accident procedures including documentation where relevant
To observe the hotels fire plan and health and safety policy.
Manage housekeeping staff performance through regular structured appraisals and performance reviews
To maintain any records and paperwork as required by the HR and Accounts departments
We offer a sensible shift pattern across a 40-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off) with an OTE of 40000.00 per annum including non-contractual service charge (tronc).
