Head Housekeeper
Job Summary
As Head Housekeeper you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the housekeeping department. Your duties will include:
- Leading supervising and motivating the housekeeping team
- Planning daily workloads rotas and staff allocation
- Ensuring all rooms and communal areas are cleaned and presented to a consistently high standard
- Carrying out regular quality and cleanliness inspections
- Training supporting and developing members of the housekeeping team
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering cleaning products linen and other supplies as required
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and used safely
- Working closely with other departments to ensure an efficient and professional service
- Ensuring health and safety COSHH and infection-control procedures are followed
- Responding promptly and professionally to any housekeeping issues
- Supporting recruitment induction and performance management within the department
Qualifications :
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous housekeeping experience ideally including supervisory or management responsibility
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards
- Is confident leading motivating and organising a team
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills
- Can prioritise workloads and remain organised in a busy environment
- Is reliable approachable and willing to take a hands-on approach
- Understands the importance of health and safety and safe working practices
- Is committed to delivering an excellent experience for our guests
