As Head Host / Hostess you will lead the reception team within our restaurant ensuring a seamless and refined arrival experience while overseeing the smooth coordination of seating and guest flow. You will act as the first impression of the venue and set the tone for exceptional service while supporting the team through guidance organisation and leadership. This role is ideal for a polished and confident professional who thrives in a luxury environment and takes pride in delivering impeccable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supervise and support the host team to ensure service standards are consistently met
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests warmly creating a memorable first impression
  • Manage reservations and seating plans to optimise service flow and guest experience
  • Monitor the dining area for capacity service quality and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure all host areas menus and reception spaces are maintained to the highest standards
  • Conduct opening and closing duties ensuring readiness and organisation of the venue
  • Support training and development of host team members
  • Address guest feedback and concerns professionally ensuring timely resolution
  • Coordinate with restaurant bar and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records reports and inventory related to the host desk
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency service quality and guest satisfaction
  • Follow all health safety and company policies and procedures

Core Competencies

We are seeking a confident and servicedriven leader who demonstrates exceptional organisational skills and a passion for guest experience. You should have:

  • Proven supervisory experience in a host/hostess or reception role ideally within a luxury or highend restaurant
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to presentation and service excellence
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced highstandards environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating flow effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and engaging approach
  • A proactive mindset anticipating guest needs and driving service improvements
  • Impeccable personal presentation aligned with luxury brand standards
  • A collaborative approach working seamlessly with colleagues across departments
