Situated on Broad Street in Birminghams vibrant Westside district Novotel Birmingham Centre is just a short walk from Brindleyplace the ICC Symphony Hall and Utilita Arena Birmingham. Its a fast-paced exciting environment where youll help create memorable experiences for guests event organisers and corporate clients alike.

What Youll Be Doing

As our Groups & M&E Sales Team Leader youll take ownership of group and residential event enquiries from first contact through to arrival ensuring every client receives a professional seamless experience.

Youll:

• Lead the management of group accommodation and M&E enquiries.
• Respond to RFPs quotations and corporate booking requests.
• Build strong relationships with clients and agencies to maximise conversion.
• Manage room blocks contracts rooming lists deposits and billing.
• Work closely with our Meetings & Events team to create successful residential events.
• Support event operations during busy periods when an extra pair of hands is needed.
• Help keep departments connected and informed to ensure every group and event runs smoothly.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for someone who is organised commercially minded and genuinely enjoys delivering great service.

Youll have:

• At least 1 years experience in hotel sales reservations groups or events.
• Experience handling group enquiries quotations or event bookings.
• Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Confidence working with hotel systems such as Opera and platforms such as Cvent.
• Excellent communication and proposal-writing skills.
• A positive hands-on approach and a passion for hospitality.
