Kent is looking for a Graduate Subsea Engineer to be based in Aberdeen.

Our Subsea and Pipelines team works closely with our global clients to understand their problems and opportunities and imagine assess and implement innovative solutions to help them deliver energy in the safest most sustainable way possible while ensuring security of supply. As a graduate you will be contributing to a variety of technically challenging and exciting projects: from helping clients on their net zero journey by designing H2 and CO2 pipelines to extending the field life of existing oil & gas pipelines to performing advanced analysis of pipelines and risers and supporting decommissioning projects.

Our average projects timescale is 8-12 weeks so you will continually be learning new skills and working with different experts across our global teams to help shape your development as an engineer and consultant. We strongly encourage our engineers to innovate our approach to engineering studies so that we continue to deliver as efficiently and effectively to face the ever-changing challenges of the energy industry.

Recruitment Timeline

Shortlisting and pre-screening of applications will commence in early November. Candidates selected to progress to the next stage will be invited to interview with interviews scheduled to take place from late November to early December 2026.

Skills & Responsibilities:

Youll be joining a team that actively encourage and foster innovative solutions and new approaches to our clients problems. Your work could involve the following:

  • Concept development and feasibility studies for brownfield and greenfield development projects in the Energy industry.
  • Integrity management life extension and decommissioning studies.
  • Advanced finite element analysis of pipelines and risers in Abaqus.
  • Cable lay and J-tube pull-in analysis in Orcaflex.
  • Supporting FEED project stages in our Engineering delivery business.
  • Participating in innovation projects to continually streamline our toolkits for delivering our assessments.
  • Supporting our external markets business development and work winning activities.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employees skills capabilities and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employees current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Yourknowledge/skillseducationandexperience:

  • Masters degree in Mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture.

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
