Pathway to Financial Adviser

We are recruiting on behalf of our client an established financial planning practice based in Brighton for a proactive and organised Graduate Administrator. This is a structured graduate scheme offering hands-on experience across the client and case lifecycle with a clear supported pathway towards becoming a qualified Financial Adviser.
- Year 1 Administrator: 12 months building a grounding in back-office processes case management and client service.
- Year 2 Specialisation: a further 12 months in a specialist area of the business ahead of moving towards an advice-giving role.
- Study support towards recognised financial planning qualifications (e.g. Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning).
- Regular progress reviews with the Practice Manager plus mentoring from experienced advisers.
New Business & Case Management
- Prepare and submit advice sets for new business cases including illustrations applications and suitability letters.
- Own allocated client cases end-to-end chasing pipeline business and provider requests (e.g. Letters of Authority) to keep everything on track.
- Prioritise casework in line with the Practice Managers SLAs.
Client Meetings & Onboarding
- Prepare client files ahead of meetings and format notes/actions afterwards updating internal systems accordingly.
- Set up new clients fully and accurately across all relevant systems.
Client Communication
- Handle incoming calls and client queries professionally resolving or escalating as needed.
- Manage mail and correspondence promptly and draft clear professional written communications.
Marketing
- Organise and distribute marketing materials for campaigns and client touchpoints in line with brand and compliance standards.
- A degree (or equivalent) and genuine interest in a long-term career as a Financial Adviser.
- Administrative or client support experience is a plus ideally in financial planning or professional services.
- Excellent organisation attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities to deadline.
- Strong verbal and written communication and telephone skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM familiarity desirable but not essential.
- Client-focused self-motivated and a good team player.
- Willing to undertake professional qualifications as part of the progression pathway.
