As a Graduate Project Manager at AECOM you have the opportunity to work on a number of exciting projects across a wide array of sectors allowing a broad exposure in your early career. These include Energy Water Rail Aviation and Highways.

The role of the Project Manager is dynamic and stimulating. As a Graduate Project Manager you will assist other members of the Project Management team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment gaining hands on experience from day one. projects. Through providing client-side project management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from option studies option development construction tender support through to NEC contract administration building strong foundations in end-to-end project delivery. The Project Manager is a key interface between the client design team consultants contractors and other project stakeholders.

The Project Manager helps to ensure actions are carried out by the appropriate parties at the right times to ensure deadlines are met and that value is added to the clients projects offering valuable exposure to senior professionals and decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

To be effective in the role of a Graduate Project Manager you must have strong communication skills be good at building relationships and rapport with the various parties involved in a project be good at planning and managing your time be highly motivated and be committed to delivering excellent service to our clients.

In this role you will gain hands-on experience across a variety of projects working alongside experienced project teams whilst developing your project management skills.

Day to day duties include:

• Liaising and assisting Project Managers at all levels. Supporting Project Managers at all levels in successful delivery of projects.
• Regular liaison with all relevant parties acting as a key point of contact for project-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support for contract management ensuring the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive documentation.
• Data management and administrative tasks. Oversee data management and administrative functions ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all information. Collaborate with team members to assign tasks effectively and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Support the development of comprehensive project plans including timelines and schedules to ensure efficient project execution.
• Prepare and regularly update project status reports for stakeholders and senior management providing detailed insights on risks quality progress and costs.
• Ensure full compliance with both organisational and client-specific documentation standards.
• Actively participate and collaborate during project site visits and meetings to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
• Engage proactively in training programs workshops and mentorship opportunities to foster professional growth and development.
• Develop expertise in project management tools methodologies and best practices to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Qualifications :

Heres what were looking for:

• Bachelors degree (min 2:1 or equivalent) in Project Management Construction Project Management Construction Management Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is essential.
• A masters degree in project management or construction Management & relevant work experience would be an advantage.
• Working towards a project management qualification such as APMQ or PRINCE2 would be desirable.
• Ability to undertake and successfully complete security screening checks.
• Effective decision making and strong verbal and written communication.
• Proactive and driven approach to work and creating success.
• Ability to working in a team of diverse individuals to meet common objectives.
• Buy-in to achieving deadlines set by Clients and Managers
• Good organisation skills: ability to manage multiple tasks and willingness to ask for help when needed
