  Youll be joining the Highways Engineering Solutions team that are responsible for innovating and redeveloping Highways and structures all across the UK.

  As a Graduate Civil Engineer youll have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in the design planning and delivery of civil engineering solutions for Highways infrastructure projects
  • Support site investigations surveys and assessments to inform design and construction decision
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical drawings specifications and reports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical electrical and environmental engineers
  • Attend site visits to gain hands-on experience and understand construction methodologies
  • Assist in monitoring project progress quality and compliance with health and safety standards
  • Support the identification and resolution of engineering challenges during project delivery
  • Learn how to manage subcontractors and suppliers and contribute to procurement activities
  • Participate in risk assessments method statements and environmental planning

  Youll be:

  • Learning how civil engineering principles are applied in real-world infrastructure projects
  • Developing technical knowledge in areas such as drainage earthworks reinforced concrete and pipeline installation
  • Building confidence in project coordination stakeholder engagement and problem-solving
  • Supported by experienced engineers and mentors to help you grow into a future technical leader

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (or are due to graduate this year)
  • Great communication skills and a willingness to learn

  • A full UK/EU driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
