The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a senior Governance Lead to join a fast-growing innovative organisation operating in the compliance risk and operational performance sector. Working closely with the CEO and executive team this role plays a key part in shaping governance strengthening resilience and supporting strategic growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role covering contracts risk compliance insurance and supplier governance with both strategic and operational influence.
Key Responsibilities
Draft review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
Provide clear pragmatic and commercially focused advice to senior stakeholders
Support strategic initiatives partnerships and commercial decision-making
Develop and maintain governance frameworks policies and controls
Maintain contract registers templates and governance processes
Advise on legal operational and compliance risks and contribute to the corporate risk register
Support governance reporting board documentation and decision-making materials
Lead or support audits compliance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage insurance policies renewals and broker relationships
Oversee incident notifications and claims processes ensuring timely submission
Support supplier governance including contract reviews due diligence and ESG compliance
Promote a culture of accountability transparency and high ethical standards
Provide training and guidance across the organisation on governance and compliance
About You
Significant experience in governance compliance legal or procurement roles
Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Solid understanding of governance frameworks and risk management
Experience working closely with senior leadership teams
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Commercial awareness with the ability to balance legal and business needs
Proactive solutions-focused approach with high integrity
Desirable
Exposure to ESG data protection or supply chain governance
Relevant professional qualification (legal procurement or similar)
