Goods Inwards Inspector

Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the validation of products arriving at Goods Inwards.
- Responsible for rejecting non-conforming product back to the supplier.
- The Incoming Inspector should understand the purpose of Purchase Orders and Certificate of Conformity.
- Maintain Certificates of Conformity and other relevant documentation received with received items as required.
- Liaise cross-functionally ensuring that quality requirements are understood and maintained.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and to communicate effectively is essential
- Will require a working knowledge of ERP
- Undertake audits to internal audit programmes to ensure compliance to AS9100 and Space standards.
- Review and improvement of industry practices to ensure compliance with AS9100 and other relevant standards.
- Plan and execute Quality Investigations using appropriate Quality tools (8D 3C etc.)
- Perform any other related duties as required which may include multi-tasking in other on-site manufacturing areas
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum of three years experience in Aerospace Space or defence industry.
- Level 5 education in relevant subject and / or extensive industry experience.
- ISO9001 / AS9100 auditing qualification desirable
