This Outstanding School is looking for a German Teacher who can deliver consistently strong lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will be responsible for helping students develop their understanding of German grammar vocabulary and pronunciation while building confidence across all four language skills.

The successful candidate will be able to create lessons that are purposeful but varied using appropriate resources and activities to ensure students remain engaged. At GCSE you will support students with examination preparation and help them develop the accuracy and independence required to achieve strong results.

You will be expected to assess learning regularly and use the information gathered to adapt future teaching. The school places importance on knowing students well and ensuring that teaching responds to their individual needs.

You will become part of a collaborative MFL team and contribute to planning assessment and departmental development. There may also be opportunities to support language clubs trips and cultural activities.

German Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

  • German Degree or relevant degree

  • QTS

  • Experience teaching German at KS3 and KS4

  • Strong spoken and written German

  • GCSE teaching experience desirable

  • Ability to differentiate effectively

  • Strong classroom management

  • Enthusiasm for languages and cultural learning

Salary

The salary for this German Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS.
