Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a highly successful humanities department at an exceptional secondary school in Sawbridgeworth. This is a full-time permanent position starting in September 2026 suitable for either an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT).

• Plan prepare and deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with the potential for Key Stage 5 for a suitably qualified candidate).

• Foster a passion for physical and human geography encouraging students to think critically about global issues and the environment.

• Assess record and report on the development progress and attainment of students in line with exam board specifications.

• Maintain a positive structured classroom environment that supports the learning and well-being of all pupils.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school including departmental meetings parents evenings and potential field trips.

• Qualifications: Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS along with a degree in Geography or a closely related discipline.

• Experience: A proven track record of teaching Geography within a UK secondary school environment (including successful PGCE placements).

• Skills: Strong subject knowledge excellent classroom management and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
