Pharos Generator ServicesanRSK Groupcompany are recruiting for aGenerator Engineerto join the team based inExeterSouth West UK. This is afull-time permanentposition.

Reporting into the South West Service Manager the Generator Technician will provide maintenance installation diagnosis repair and testing services across a range of diesel generator sets switchgear control systems and associated equipment. Our support is carried out at clients premises or Pharos sites. Key tasks include:

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Carrying out diagnostic testing and remedial works on generators and associated equipment
• Providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system
• Carrying out client site visits
• Projecting spares requirements for upcoming and planned works

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in Generator Engineering of at least 5 years
• Mechanical diagnostic experience
• Qualified Mechanical Engineer or similar
• Skilled in technical report writing with acute attention to detail

Pharos Generator Services (PGS) is a UK-based company with more than 60 years experience in the power generation industry. We specialise in supplying installing commissioning repairing and servicing diesel backup and emergency-power systems. Our diverse client base includes the Ministry of Defence telecommunications giant British Telecommunications the NHS police and fire services and facilities management companies. PGS has been actively researching and exploring new clean fuel technologies to complement the switch to renewable sources of energy. Many organisations are relying on diesel generators for backup power. Our ambition is to explore how renewables and battery storage could be an alternative in certain situations. This transition will position PGS as an established provider of backup power supplies thereby enabling our expansion in the UK and abroad.
