General Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant

Salary: 25614 to 26847 per annum pro rata

Cliffe VC Primary School is looking to appoint a caring enthusiastic and reliable General Teaching Assistant to join our friendly school team in Early Years on a fixed term contract until 28th May 2027 to include Midday Supervisory duties on a Tuesday lunchtime and the potential to undertake relief breakfast and after school club work to cover staff absence and other occasional requirements.

The role will involve supporting pupils with their learning assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and helping to provide a positive safe and inclusive learning environment.

Hours of work:

• Tuesday: 12:20pm 3:20pm including one hour of Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA) duties from 12:20pm 1:20pm.
• Wednesday: 1:20pm 3:20pm.

The successful candidate will be patient flexible and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in supporting childrens learning and wellbeing.

They should be able to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Previous experience of working with children would be an advantage but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are equally important.
