General Operative

We are seeking a General Operative to join our team in Avonmouth.

This role will support the delivery of key projects within the nuclear sector working in a safety-focused environment where quality collaboration and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

What Youll Be Doing :

Support manufacturing activities on the workshop floor within Avonmouth in line with business targets and objectives.

Liaise with Storeman Manufacturing Team Leader and Production Manager ensuring manufacturing activities are supported sufficiently.
Attend Daily Action Brief ensuring all daily risks and activities are throroughly understood.
Assist with the movement of materials and producrs around all units of workshop.
Provide assistance with routine maintenance activities within Framatome group.
Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Provide assistance in the development of operational processes and procedures.
Deliver / collect goods or equipment from sub-contractors and suppliers on an ad hoc basis.

Key Outputs:

Provide necessary support to Welders / Fabricators / Storeman and the Manufacturing Support team when needed.
Loading and unloading of goods that are delivered or released from the workshop.
Comply and align with Goods-In / Goods-Out procedure.
Comply and align with all risk assessments associated with work undertaken.
Ensure all equipment is PAT tested and recorded througout the workshop.

What are we looking for

Previous experience with operating a Forklift Truck.
Carries full driving license with clean record.
Experience in working to processes procedures and specifications.
Questioning attitude.
Good team working skills.
Organised with good attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team as well as under own initiative with a can-do attitude.
