Unfortunately due to circumstancesbeyond our control were once again looking for a new General Manager for thisgreat site.

Situated in the heart of Kingsclere avillage between Newbury and Basingstoke with a significant refurbishment plannedfor FY27 this is a great opportunity for someone to make an immediate impact!

With 9 cosy bedrooms a fantastic barrestaurant and courtyard garden its known locally for its excellent food andwarm welcome. The site benefits from tourists visiting the area due to itsproximity to Highclere Castle known for being the home of the Crawley familyin the Downton Abbey.

Nestled amidst the rolling hills and verdant landscapes ofKingsclere Bel and The Dragon stands as a timeless gem within this charmingtown. The buildings historical architecture and cozy interior provide awelcoming haven for both locals and visitors alike. From the neighbouring horseracing crowd or from the many shooting parties the spirit of communityflourishes within the walls of Bel and The Dragon. The new General Manager must be the face of thebusiness with exceptional customer service skills whilst also possessing theability to adapt to the seasonal trends and the peaks in the business. Thedrive to get out and about and push sales further in both the corporate andleisure market is also a must.

We are looking for a General Managerwho has a proven track record executing large events and experience of jugglingmultiple revenue streams in a multifaceted business.

This is a Complexity Band C businessand therefore we welcome applications from existing General Managers who arelooking for their next challenge and MTP graduates.
