Located in the heart of Glasgowsvibrant city centre AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow is a contemporary 4-starhotel featuring 245 stylish guest rooms and suites offering guests aseamless blend of modern design exceptional comfort and intuitive service.
As part of the globallyrecognised Marriott International family the hotel benefits from world classbrand recognition whilst maintaining a strong local identity that reflects theenergy and character of Glasgow.
The hotel boasts exceptional foodand beverage offerings alongside impressive meeting and events facilitiesincluding the recently launched Collector Hall. THE ROLE
As General Manager you will beresponsible for the overall leadership performance and strategic direction ofthe hotel.
Working alongside RBHsspecialist support teams and Marriott brand partners you will be accountablefor driving revenue growth delivering exceptional guest experiencesmaximising profitability developing your team and ensuring operationalexcellence across all areas of the business.
This is a highly visibleleadership role requiring a dynamic and inspirational individual who canbalance commercial acumen with people leadership whilst maintaining the higheststandards of guest satisfaction.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GENERALMANAGER
Leading People & Culture
- Inspire lead and develop a high performing hotel team
- Create a culture of engagement accountability and continuous improvement
- Drive colleague satisfaction retention and development
- Support succession planning and talent development across all departments
- Champion RBHs values and people-first culture
Driving Commercial Success
- Deliver budgeted revenue profit GOP and market share targets
- Develop and execute strategic business plans that maximise performance
- Identify new commercial opportunities across rooms food & beverage meetings and events
- Work closely with Revenue Sales & Marketing teams to drive demand and profitability
- Maximise the commercial potential of Collector Hall and all hotel revenue streams
- Monitor business performance and implement strategies to continuously improve results
Delivering Exceptional GuestExperiences
- Ensure consistently outstanding guest service across all areas of the hotel
- Drive guest satisfaction loyalty and reputation scores
- Maintain Marriott brand standards and RBH operational excellence
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives through guest insight and feedback
- Foster a culture focused on memorable guest experiences
Stakeholder & OwnerManagement
- Build strong relationships with owners investors and key stakeholders
- Provide detailed performance updates and strategic recommendations
- Work collaboratively with Marriott RBH support functions and commercial partners
- Represent the hotel within the local business community and hospitality sector
Operational Excellence
- Oversee all operational departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all legal financial health & safety and company requirements
- Drive quality assurance standards across the hotel
- Lead innovation and continuous improvement initiatives

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
To succeed in this role you willbring:
- Proven experience as a General Manager Hotel Manager or senior operational leader within a quality hotel environment
- Strong commercial expertise with a proven track record of delivering revenue and profit growth
- Experience leading large multi-functional teams
- Outstanding leadership and people development skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting forecasting and P&L management
- Experience within branded hotels ideally Marriott or a comparable international brand
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on leadership style
- Energy resilience and ambition to drive continued success
