General Maintenance Assistant Old Parsonage Hotel

We are looking for a General Maintenance Assistant to join our team at The Old Parsonage Hotel which is part of The Oxford Collection;a small privately owned group of two luxury 5* hotels and apartments three restaurants that consists of the Old Bank Hotel the Old Parsonage Hotel 36 St Giles Parsonage Grill Gees Restaurant & Bar and Quod Restaurant & Bar. We have 80 bedrooms across three iconic properties in central Oxford with unrivalled views across the citys beautiful skyline.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Carry out routine maintenance tasks
• Assist with daily maintenance issues at the Old Parsonage Hotel in line with the current maintenance programme
• General building repairs both internal and external
• Undertaking of essential planned preventative maintenance
• Working closely and reporting to the Maintenance Manager

General Maintenance Assistant requirements:

• Self-motivated driven proactive and positive can do attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent people management skills
• Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure
• Experience in basic building maintenance (electrical plumbing or decorating) would be beneficial

We offer an opportunity to earn up to 13.11 per hour including non-contractual tronc (service charge) working 40 hours per week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off each week) from 7:30 am to 3:30 addition emergency call-out shifts are occasionally required.
