Our Digital Computing & Creative Media department are excited to announce that we are looking for a team member to join as a Lecturer in Digital Computing & Creative Media.

The Role


The post will involve the marketing delivery and assessment of a range of courses across the Digital Computing & Creative Media provision. You will be required to teach across T Level 16-18 BTEC programmes and UAL Creative media courses from level 1 to level 3 with a focus on Game development Website development Databases spreadsheets and a range of skills to support learners in their journey to industry.



Main Duties for this role include:


  • Plan teaching learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
  • Deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
  • Assess accurately learners work both formatively and summative against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
  • Comply with all College quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Deputy Principal to ensure the achievement of all internal and external audits.
  • Use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
  • Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes and make use of a variety and appropriate learning and teaching methods.


Successful candidates should have:


  • Knowledge & Experience of Adobe Creative Suite Blender Unity or Unreal
  • A good working knowledge of software development you will need to have knowledge and experience of at least two of the following: Python Java; HTML CSS JavaScript and at least one of the following: Computer Networking Internet of Things (IOT) systems design. You will have experience with data analysis cyber security and software development.
  • Knowledge and experience of games art and animation alongside web development would be desirable
  • Ideally knowledge of BTEC UAL Further/Higher Education programmes T Levels and their associated administration systems
  • A current teaching qualification to the required national standards or a willingness to undertake a formal teaching qualification in a timely manner.
  • Degree in Computing or Creative Media or relevant qualification
