Position Summary: Refrigeration Mechanic
As a refrigeration mechanic you willbe responsible forthe safe operation and upkeep of our refrigeration systems both Ammonia and Freon. You will need to be proficientonthe computer system thatmonitorsand adjusts the refrigeration equipment andunderstandthe impact ofoperatinga refrigeration system and performing PM tasks on the system. You will also perform maintenance on allbuildingand equipment both inside and outside the facility withoutassistanceunless conditions require more than one person. Each mechanic is expected to perform high quality work in a safe fashion and understand all safety rules for the task being carrying out their duties each person is responsibleto workproductively andmakesuggestionfor improvements. Training will be offeredandis necessary to stay current with your level as well as a demonstrated ability to perform the work.

Duties and Responsibilities
Enter work into the computer maintenance system throughout the shift and able to use the system tolook intorepeat repairs andpreviouswork performed on that equipment.
Able tomonitorand adjust the refrigeration systems (Ammonia and Freon) to provide asafeefficient process throughuseof refrigeration maintenance system of adjustments to field devices.
Able to performPMson refrigeration equipment as needed.
Make sure all equipment meets standardscodesand regulatory requirements.
Perform daily walks to ensure the system isoperatingsafely and if repairs arerequired then either make repairs or call outside contractors to schedule this work.
Ensure all equipment is meeting code through replacement schedules.
Responsible for all PSM updates.
At times when no coverage is present at the facility anon callcondition with a beepermayberequired.
Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processesimpactingtheir work group or center that will maximize efficiency productivity and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in the areas of accuracysafetyand productivity.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to be on-call as necessary and work flexible hours
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Schematic / blueprint reading
Mechanicsare required tosupply their own tools
Certified and follow EAP for PSM

Preferred Qualifications

High school education

Able to serve as resource to others in resolution of complex problems and issues
Able to communicate and work effectively and collaboratively with team
Able to perform work in difficult body positions and environmental conditions from time to time
Able and willing to work flexible hours and be on-call if required
