Position Summary:
Perform a wide variety of duties tomaintainand controlaccuratelevels of inventory in grocery and perishablewarehouses. This includes the evaluation and entering of data information into warehouse systems technical supportto receiving and shipping departments andexchangeinformation as needed with customers in retail merchandisingtrucking and distribution.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Assign items select slots based on the strategy of achieving retail and distribution operational productivitywhile ensuring the safety of associates and product
Maintain integrity of slotting strategy through analysis and continual alignment of slot profiles with itemvelocity.
Execute andmaintainprocesses for inventory department independently or without supervision
Able to perform complex research and analysis toidentify diagnosis and resolve problems
Be communicator and contact for business partners and customers outside of distribution center and addressconcerns in a positive manner
Maintainaccurateinventory of all departments within distribution center
Monitor warehouse damage andinitiateresolution
Notifyappropriate departmentleads for product discrepancies
Utilize reports toassistDistribution in investigating andexpeditingissues related to inventory discrepanciesand audit results
Maintainaccurate organized files for all department responsibilities for efficient access to necessaryinformation
Perform daily warehouse responsibilities in areas related to shippingreceivingand/or inventory managementwithin establishedtime frames.
Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processesimpactingtheir work group ordistribution center that will maximize efficiencyproductive and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracysafetyand productivity.
Understand Food Safety handling techniquespracticesand expectations for the work environment
Knowledge:
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
Expert knowledge with WMS and supporting systems
Seasoned knowledge of inventory practicesproceduresand research techniques
Skills:
Excellent customer service communicationverbaland written skills
Demonstrate effective and successful leadership skills by producing positive results in the maintaining ofaccurateinventory
Abilities:
Meet production standards set by the company
Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
Proficient use of computer for data entry and research purposes
Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritizemultipletaskin a fast-paced environment
Reach stoop bend andlift upto and including 60 lbs.
Stand forlong periodsof time
Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions ( temperatures concrete floors poweredindustrial trucks)
Education:
High School education
Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment preferred
Experience:
3 years experience in Inventory Management Operations or job function
