French Teacher – Independent School, Nottinghamshire

About the Role You will teach French across KS3 KS4 and KS5 with small class sizes enabling close attention to individual progress. The department encourages target-language teaching cultural exploration and opportunities for exchanges or trips.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach French across KS3 KS4 and KS5

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations

• Develop students speaking listening reading and writing skills

• Use the target language confidently to build fluency

• Provide detailed feedback and track progress closely

• Contribute to language enrichment events trips or exchanges

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Fluency in French and confidence teaching in the target language

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level French

• Ability to teach a second language (e.g. Spanish or German)

• Experience working in an independent school setting

• Experience organising language trips or exchanges
