A high-achieving and inclusive Secondary School in Luton is seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled French Teacher to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages department from September. The successful candidate will teach French across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students fluency confidence and cultural understanding.

Students study a broad curriculum that develops skills in speaking listening reading and writing while exploring the culture traditions and contemporary life of French-speaking countries. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations supporting them to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop a lifelong interest in languages.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through enrichment activities such as language clubs cultural events trips abroad and cross-curricular projects.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching French at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge of French language and culture

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level French

• Ability to teach an additional language (Spanish or German)

• Experience contributing to language enrichment or trips

• Strong track record of student progress and achievement
